Nationality Law
Nationality Law is the branch of law concerned with the question(s) of nationality and citizenship, and how national or dual national statuses are acquired, transmitted, or lost. By custom, a state has the right to determine its nationals and citizens. The determinations are usually made by custom, legislation or Court Cases (precedent), or combination of the aforestated. It also occurs that determinations of nationality are governed by public international law, by treaties on statelessness and the European Convention on Nationality.
